PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Laminate doors and/or blanks supplied by fullwrap are produced on equipment that ensures customer satisfaction in terms of accuracy of size using the latest environmentally friendly techniques.

A finished Fullwrap door commences as a length of particle board (45 lb. Density) referred to as the substrate in which all doors of the same roll to roll dimension are joined together in multiples of 4 or 8 foot lengths. The substrate is cut to approximate width and machined on the roll to roll dimensions to accommodate the 90 degree (halfwrap0 or 180 degree (fullwrap) profile on the door edge. (Note: These profiles are only available on two opposite edges of the door.)

After the substrate is machined, it is sent through a press line where the substrate is inserted and first swept clean of any sawdust or debris bypassing it through a roller system consisting of brushes. After all debris is removed, white environmentally friendly glue (PVA) is applied to the substrate by means of a glue roller. The oversize laminate is indexed onto the substrate and then shuttled into a press (capacity 58’ x 144”) where the laminate is bonded to the substrate under pressure and heat. The substrate and bonded laminate, is then fed through a single sided postformer (Max. roll to roll dimensions of 90”) where the overhanging laminate is machined to a precise tolerance and than is formed by heat and pressure around the machined edges of the substrate. After post-forming the substrate and bonded laminate are referred to as a blank and is either shipped to the customer of cut into doors.

The blanks intended for finished doors, are moved to a computerized panel saw where the individual doors are cut to the height or width depending on the roll to roll direction. After the doors are dimensional cut they are moved to either one of two edge banders depending on the edge treatment.

After edge treatment, the doors are finished and are moved to a staging area where the are inspected, cleaned and packaged. If the laminate is a gloss finish, it is shipped with a clear protective film, which protects the surface until installation, providing the laminate manufacturer offer the protective coating.
