PAINTED DOORS ARE PRODUCED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:

Raw Door Process

  1. Each door is manufactured exclusively using a substrate (raw or melamine backed) which is a premium grade MDF. This premium boar has been selected because of its stability, machinability and its compatibility with our chosen paint system.
  2. The doors are sized, squared and routed on a CNC machining center equipped with diamond tooling to ensure accuracy of profiles and door sizes.
  3. After removal from the routers, the doors have their corners and back edges broken and are ready to receive their first coat of primer either by Sunoka or an outside customer.

PAINTED DOOR CARE & REPAIR

Cleaning

Due to their quality, painted products require minimal care. Use a soft, absorbent cloth, dampened with lukewarm water to wipe off dust and fingerprints. For greases or other difficult stains, use mild hand soap.
Never use abrasive cleaning material, furniture polishes or bathroom cleaners that leave a build-up or film on the surface.

Micro Repair Procedure For a painted Door

  1. Remove the door from the cabinetry and place horizontally on a clean and secure surface.
  2. Clean around the area to be repaired making certain its dry and free of dirt or grease. (Note: do not use harsh cleaners)
  3. Using a small (fine) artist’s paint brush, dab on a small amount of touch-up pain, only enough to fill the chipped area. (Note: do not take more than a few seconds for this step, as the paint will start to set-up.)
  4. Let repair area sit for approximately ten minutes. If necessary repeat step#3 until the chip is filled to the surface of the door.
  5. To aid in dry time, a hair dryer can be used for a few minutes, keeping it approximately 20 inches away from the door, set on medium, then allow the door to cool for twenty minutes.
  6. Replace the door, repair is complete. Note: Touch -up kits are available, see the price pages for details.
